PRIVACY

The short version

Your calculator answers and your lead list stay on this device and are not sent to Lucidx. Everything you type into the tool, including your customers' names, jobs and quote values, is stored only in your own phone or computer's browser (a feature called local storage).

Two things are still true and worth saying plainly: that information is personal data even while it sits on your own device, and our host sees your IP address in order to send you the page. Neither of those puts your lead list in our hands.

There are no accounts, no sign-up, no tracking cookies, no analytics scripts and no third-party scripts of any kind on this site. The tool never transmits your calculator answers or your lead list on its own... there is no code in it that can. Information only leaves this page if you deliberately follow a WhatsApp link and press send, and some of those links arrive with your calculator answers already written into the message for you to read, edit or delete first.

What stays on your device

Your trade, your calculator numbers, your lead list and your scoreboard. It all lives in your browser's local storage, in a single entry named cpr-state-v1, under your control.

Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently. We have no copy and no way to recover it, so screenshot anything you want to keep.

Why there's no cookie banner

Because there's nothing to ask you about. We set no cookies at all. The local storage this tool uses is exempt from consent because it's strictly necessary for the thing you asked it to do... it holds your own lead list, and without it the tool simply doesn't work.

Nothing stored is used to track you, profile you, or follow you to another website. It never leaves your device.

What leaves your device

One thing, and it's unavoidable for any website. These pages are served by Vercel, our hosting provider, which processes your IP address in order to deliver the page to you.

That's the lot. The fonts are served from this site rather than from Google, so no request goes to Google, or to anyone else, when you load a page here.

If you WhatsApp Deon

The WhatsApp buttons open a chat with Deon Bryan at Lucidx. Some of them arrive with a message already written for you, which can include the answers you gave the calculator... you can read it, edit it or delete it before you send. Nothing is sent unless you press send.

Anything you do send is handled under WhatsApp's own terms, and is used only to help you with your campaign. It's never sold or passed on. It's kept for up to 24 months from your last message and then deleted, or sooner if you ask... message the same number or email deon@lucidx.co.uk.

Your customers' data

The method this tool teaches involves you personally texting people who previously asked you for a quote. That data is yours and stays with you... this site never sees it, so there is nothing here for us to hand over, lose or leak.

The tool's guidance follows one rule worth repeating here: personal, individual messages to people who contacted you first, and anyone who says stop gets silence, permanently.

Texting your leads: whose responsibility?

The tool gives you general information and ready-to-edit message templates. It sends nothing itself and it can't check your list... whether you can lawfully text someone is your responsibility as the sender.

The rules are the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. In short: text people who contacted your business about buying from you, only about similar work, say who you are, give a simple way out in every message (the tool's messages include one), and honour a stop instantly, for good. The soft opt-in also requires that people were given a chance to opt out when you first took their details, and that they haven't opted out since. The plain-English version is in the ICO's guide to marketing texts and emails... the law bundles texts under "electronic mail", which is why the page talks about both. Nothing on this page is legal advice.

The formal bit: basis, purpose, recipients, how long

What we hold, and why. If you WhatsApp us, we hold that conversation and whatever you chose to put in it. The purpose is answering you and, if you want it, helping with your campaign. The lawful basis is legitimate interests... you contacted a business and expect a reply. If we ever want to send you marketing afterwards, we'll ask you first.

Who else sees anything. Vercel, who serve these pages and process your IP address to do it. Meta, who run WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there. Nobody else. We don't sell or share anything with anybody, and there are no advertising or analytics companies involved because there are no such scripts on this site.

Where it goes. Vercel and WhatsApp both operate outside the UK. Those transfers rely on the providers' own standard contractual terms and adequacy arrangements. We don't move your data anywhere ourselves.

How long we keep it. WhatsApp conversations: up to 24 months from your last message, then deleted, or sooner if you ask. Emails to deon@lucidx.co.uk: the same. Hosting logs are held by Vercel under their own retention policy... on their standard plans that's between an hour and a few days... and we don't take copies. The lead list on your device is kept until you clear it... use "Start again" in the tool, or clear your browser data.

Your rights

Where we do hold something about you, which in practice means a WhatsApp conversation you started, you can ask what we have, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email deon@lucidx.co.uk and it gets done.

You can also ask us to restrict what we do with it while a question about accuracy or an objection is being sorted out. Your right to object gets its own section, next.

If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Your right to object

If we ever send you marketing, you can object at any time and it stops. Reply STOP to any message, or email deon@lucidx.co.uk. No forms, no questions, and no override... an objection to direct marketing is absolute.

Because we rely on legitimate interests for the WhatsApp and email conversations described above, you can object to that processing too. Tell us and we'll stop, unless we have a compelling reason not to that overrides your rights, which for a conversation you started is unlikely.
